1964 Grumman Lunar Excursion Module Prototype *NOW AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER*

£550.00

The 1964 Grumman Lunar Excursion Module Prototype is a replica of an original model displayed in the Cradle of Aviation Museum, Long Island, New York.

It is the largest model in the ‘Evolution of the Grumman LEM’ display case.

I have made a faithful but neatened up replica to continue the Grumman LEM range in the belief that like the others, it’s modelled at 1:40th scale.

The ascent/descent stages can be separated and are located in position with stainless steel dowels and internal magnets.

The LEM can be removed from the Perspex base.

The main components of the model are moulded plastic while the landing gear is fabricated from brass tube with turned brass footpads and locating pins, all soldered together.

The polished Perspex base is printed with NASA and Grumman logos and has green baize on the underside.

Model height is 210mm and Perspex base diameter is 360mm

The model is shipped in custom packaging to completely protect the model in worldwide transit.

Just like the originals, these models are hand made so may have small imperfections or manufacturing marks.

We do not keep models in stock. Each model will be manufactured on demand so it may take 6 to 8 weeks for manufacturing and shipping.  Please be aware of this when placing your order.

Once your model is ready to ship, you will receive email notification with a tracking number.  The tracking number can be used on the carriers website when it has reached your country.

We try our best with safe packaging, however, models occasionally get damaged during shipping. If something arrives damaged please contact me immediately & send a picture via email (Robert.j@me.com). I will do my best to resolve any breakages immediately.
